PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT from the MWCA

Senior’s Open House
Monday, June 5th at 1pm to 4pm
The Manordale-Woodvale Community Association is inviting all older adults, seniors, and peoples with disabilities in our community to join us for an afternoon filled with fun, refreshments and discussion.
Meet with your neighbours to discuss ideas for the types of programs and activities that you would be interested in to help fill some of your spare time.
Where: At the Manordale community building on 68 Knoxdale Rd.
When: Monday, June 5th at 1pm to 4pm
Who: older adults, seniors, and individuals with disabilities (55+)
Why: The MWCA recognizes that seniors are looking for activities in a space that is close to home and within their own neighbourhood.
We need your input. We need you to identify the types of activities that you are interested in doing.
How do I attend: Show up and we will welcome you in!

The MWCA offers a softball program for children between the ages 6 – 13 that live in the Manordale & surrounding area. The program runs during the months of May and June on two evenings per week. It is our objective; provided we have a large enough registration, to have 2 age groups; those between the ages of 6-10 and those between the ages of 11-13. We will supply the children with their uniform and all they need to provide is a glove.

Families HELPING Families
The Manordale-Woodvale Community Association (MWCA) together with Manordale Public School and the South Nepean Satellite Community Health Centre are sponsoring the collection of items needed for residents in our community.
Suggested items are: baby/childrens items, clothes, shoes, small household items, DVDs, CDs, electronics, decorations, etc.
If you are interested in helping, donations will be accepted at Manordale Public School, 16 Carola St. on Wednesdays (starting April 12th) from the hours 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.
